Sandy Newton-King (BPhty) graduated from UQ in 1995 with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She has also qualified in Advanced Level Acupuncture with the UK's Chartered Society of Physiotherapy whose teachings effectively combine Western Medical Acupuncture protocols with Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory. Sandy has studied under many world leading Medical Acupuncture specialists whilst she was based in the U.K. for nearly seven years.
Physio Facial Therapy is a fresh, effective approach to the treatment of face and neck related conditions and is designed to optimise healing, pain relief and relaxation while in the hands of an internationally trained, experienced physiotherapist.
The consultation uniquely begins with a luxurious mini facial including creme cleanse, exfoliation and warm towel bath to stimulate blood flow and begin the relaxation process, the conditions’ treatment follows as required..
Acupuncture is offered as an optional adjunct to enhance mind-body harmony, calm and healing. Non-invasive acupuncture may be requested by those who are needle wary.
Facial tissue metabolism is optimised as Acupuncture can profoundly effect the regulation of hormones in the body. Conditions such as acne and overly dry skin may be remarkably improved along with rejuvenated sinus health. Reduced puffiness often to the point of elimination may also be achieved. By substantially increasing the circulation of blood, lymphatic drainage, and chi to the head, these treatments may improve the complexion noticeably.

The massage includes gentle stimulation of facial acupuncture points followed by hands on therapy. Relax with a sense of calm and relief of tension.

Physio Facial Sinus Remedial - begins with the mini facial, and is specifically designed to focus on soothing and rejuvenating Sinus health by using physiotherapeutic massage, lymphatic drainage, acupuncture point stimulation. Face &/or Body acupuncture may be added if requested.
Physio Hand & Arm Therapy - revitalises tired, aching hands and arms and eases tension. It includes an exfoliation, massage & manual therapy, then a rich moisturising hand masque to leave you feeling calm, relaxed and refreshed. Body acupuncture can be added if requested.
Acu-Physio - Face &/or body acupuncture and hands on therapy is focused on neck, shoulder, back or limb issues to effect relaxation, pain relief and improve physical function.
